Frustrations continued to boil over for the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, as manager John Schneider was ejected in the sixth inning against the Kansas City Royals.

Third-base umpire Nestor Ceja tossed Schenider after ruling that Royals centre-fielder John Rave didn’t offer on a check swing at a 2-2 slider in the dirt.

It wasn’t initially clear that Schneider had been thrown out of the game, but the Blue Jays’ skipper came onto the field to argue with Ceja before departing the game. The broadcast later showed that Schneider was ejected after yelling from the dugout after the pitch.

Schneider was visibly frustrated with home plate umpire James Jean’s strike zone throughout the game.

Friday was Schneider’s fourth ejection of the season and the 12th of his big-league career.

Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker was thrown out by Jean in the first inning after arguing a strike call during Max Scherzer’s rough start.
