Bradley Cooper has proven he understands the language of music. But is he fluent in punchlines?
The Oscar-nominated actor and director offered a sneak peek at his latest film, “Is This Thing On?,” with the release of the movie’s official trailer on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The upcoming dramedy, directed and cowritten by Cooper, stars Will Arnett and Laura Dern.
The film follows estranged couple Alex (Arnett) and Tess (Dern) as they navigate the emotional aftermath of their crumbling marriage. Amid the pair’s marital woes, Alex unexpectedly discovers an artistic refuge in the New York comedy scene.
“I think I’m getting a divorce. What tipped me off was that I’m living in an apartment on my own, and my wife and kids don’t live there,” Alex deadpans in one scene. “That was probably the biggest clue.”
