NEW YORK (WABC) — The chilly weather in the Tri-State may have you thinking about a getaway.
Eyewitness News Entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo is on board the brand new Disney Destiny Cruise Ship.
She and her family got on the ship Sunday afternoon.
They were welcomed with a family hello and a dance party with Mickey and friends on the main deck. They call that the sail-away celebration.
There is a lot to see and do.
On this ship you’ve got Broadway style shows like “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” which is a celebration featuring a musical voyage into Disney and Pixar stories.
And exclusive to the Destiny, “Disney Hercules” is the show for Monday night.
There are also first-run movies in boutique cinemas, activities, shopping, salons, and a kids’ club that will keep your children occupied all day and night.
It’s honestly incredible, Garguilo said. With that said, there are also so many adult-exclusive spaces, like De Vil’s Piano Lounge.
As for the food, they’ve been eating their way through the ship.
There’s casual and fine dining, again, all on theme, Heroes and Villains.
There are sweet treats all throughout the ship.
All of this and we haven’t even talked about the pools, or Aqua Mouse, which zigs, zags, and zooms through some 760-feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper deck.
Monday, the ship makes its way to Disney Castaway Cay, a private Island.
