Bronwyn Newport Shares an Intimate, Behind-the-Scenes Look at Her 2026 Met Gala Prep (Exclusive)

Bronwyn Newport‘s look for the 2026 Met Gala was a work of art!

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 40, took PEOPLE behind the scenes as she primped and prepped for the 2026 Met Gala, where she served as co-host for E! to cover the biggest night in fashion.

Her night was chronicled in a PEOPLE exclusive photo gallery, which includes stylish snaps of her getting-ready process — hair! glam! gown! (plus chicken caesar salads!) and all! — before stepping into the fashion scene for Live from the Red Carpet on E!

Newport’s number, created by French designer Kevin Germanier and sustainably sewn together using upcycled plastics, uniquely aligned with this year’s Met Gala theme, “Costume Art,” and its accompanying dress code, “Fashion Is Art.”

Once the Met Gala came to a close, the TV personality kept the energy alive to hit the glamorous afterparties. She even changed into a second look that rivaled the first, stepping out in a vibrant ensemble and adding long, dramatic extensions for an extra statement.

Glam Time!

“Getting glam with two of my favorite artists,” Newport tells PEOPLE of her Met Gala look. “We went for slick and chic hair since my dress is so intricate. For the makeup, we incorporated some green shimmer on the eyes to play off the dress.”

Red Bottoms for a Red Carpet

When getting glam to the max for an event as luxe as the Met Gala, obviously you have to strike a pose in all your glamorous glory! Newport did just that, and snapped a pic of the details beforehand.

“Behind the scenes before we did a quick photo shoot in my room!” she shares.

Final Touches!

The Met Gala is a long night, kicking off in the late afternoon and wrapping around midnight. Not to mention, the evening doesn’t end after the famed fashion fundraiser held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute ends!

Between the gala itself and the afterparties that follow, makeup and hair must remain intact; therefore, its crucial Newport locks in her look for the hours ahead.

“Last minute touchups before making my way to ‘E! Live from the Red Carpet’!” she shares.

Since the night is long, it’s very important to fuel up! Why do you think so many celebs sneak snacks into their purses before hitting the sartorial steps? (Or if you’re Tiffany Haddish in 2019, cooked chicken!)

“I needed to have a Panera Bread Chicken Caesar Salad Stuffer and a Cherry Lime Fresca to fuel up for the big night!” Newport tells PEOPLE of her pre-Gala meal.

Getting the Shot

Newport rocked a soft glam to perfectly complement her embellished gown, simply wearing pink blush and natural eye makeup. She further accentuated her face by sweeping her chic bob behind her ears.

“Face close up — my glam girls killed it!” she excitedly says of her final look.

Werking While Working

Newport wore a form-fitting, sheer gown in green with extravagant detailing in white, featuring floral appliqués up and down the bodice and into the skirt. The sleeves, which had a dramatic shoulder pad, doubled as gloves.

“The dress is from a French designer, Kevin Germanier. He used sequins from recycled plastic bottles and raffia from repurposed grocery bags, highlighting sustainable luxury as an artistic statement.”
