Brooklyn Beckham is defending his marriage to Nicola Peltz while addressing ongoing rumors of a rift with his family, which includes parents David and Victoria Beckham.
“There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife,” Brooklyn told the Daily Mail about Nicola, 30. “Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”
While participating in the Ryder Cup All-Star, a celebrity golf match in New York on September 24, the eldest of the Beckham children, 26, added he “never” worries about what people say about his personal life. “Everyone is always going to say rubbish.”
According to the Daily Mail, Brooklyn was also notably absent from his father’s Inter Miami game Wednesday night — despite being just an hour away. Instead, he told the outlet he was heading straight back to Los Angeles.

“I left my wife with our four dogs on her own so I have to go back and help out,” he explained.
The Beckham family drama has been brewing for years. Back in 2022, per People, tensions began after Victoria allegedly promised to make Nicola’s wedding dress but later backed out, with a source claiming Victoria called Peltz’s mother to say she wouldn’t be making the dress after all.
In August, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows without David and Victoria in attendance.
Though a source previously told Star in July that “David and Victoria have been relentless for the last five years, constantly going after Brooklyn and Nicola,” another insider shared that they are eager to reconcile in the event that the young couple start their own family.
“If they don’t fix things soon, they could very well end up cut off from their first grandchild,” the insider said of the concerned parents, who also share kids Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14. “That’s a terrifying prospect for both of them, so there’s a new sense of urgency to sort this out.”
