After years of work on multiple iterations of the source material, Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKRmovie looks to be coming together, per a new update from Justin Lin. The comic book franchise, created by the John Wick vet, first launched in March 2021, with Netflix coming aboard around the same time to begin developing both a live-action movie and anime series as a sequel to the film.
Mattson Tomlin eventually came on board the film in October 2021 to pen the script, and later the anime series as its showrunner in 2024, though development has moved slowly as he found himself busy both with creating Netflix’s Terminator Zeroand co-writing The Batman Part II with Matt Reeves.
