Organizers of Milford’s annual Bug & Bud Festival have released a full “run of show” schedule, outlining a day of performances and activities planned for Saturday, April 25.
The festival, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Milford, is expected to again feature vendors, food trucks and family-friendly attractions as part of the city’s annual spring celebration.
According to the newly released schedule, the event will begin at 9 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 9:15 a.m. led by Downtown Milford Inc.’s board. Live entertainment will take place throughout the day at the amphitheater behind the library near the farmers market.
Morning performances include the Milford Community Band at 9:30 a.m. and the Delaware Music School at 10 a.m. A parade and hula hoop performance are scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by line dancing and group dancing at noon.
Afternoon entertainment will feature performances by Fuzaholics at 1 p.m., Mad Dappers at 2 p.m. and the Milford Central Academy dancers at 3 p.m., before the event concludes with final remarks and giveaways at 4 p.m.
In addition to the entertainment lineup, organizers highlighted several event features, including a designated kids’ area near the pickleball and basketball courts with bounce houses, crafts and a petting zoo. Vendors will be set up along downtown streets, while portable restrooms will be available throughout the event area.
The festival, organized by Downtown Milford Inc., has become a long-standing community tradition celebrating spring, nature and Milford’s connection to the ladybug, Delaware’s state bug.
As previously announced, the free event will include more than 100 vendors, food trucks, live music and activities for all ages, drawing residents and visitors to the downtown district each year.
Organizers say the event will take place rain or shine.
