Heading to the California Mid-State Fair this summer? You can save big on family-friendly fun, organizers said.

The fair returns to Paso Robles in July for 12 days of concerts, carnival rides, livestock shows and more.

“The fair continues to be one of California’s best summer entertainment values — offering something exciting around every corner for guests of all ages,” organizers said in a May 21 news release.

When is the California Mid-State Fair in 2026? Where?

The California Mid-State Fair celebrates “the region’s rich agricultural heritage and a beloved community tradition,” organizers said.

In 2026, the fair runs Wednesday, July 15, through Sunday, July 26, at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave in Paso Robles, off Highway 101.

This year’s nostalgic theme is “Back to the ’80s,” featuring retro roller skating, arcade games, mullet contests, throwback music and themed photo opportunities.

How can I save money at California Mid-State Fair?

You can save money on California Mid-State Fair admission and carnival rides by buying ahead of time, according to the release.

Local nonprofit groups will sell Unlimited Ride carnival wristband vouchers in June, the release said.

In addition, you can buy discount daily admission tickets at participating Farm Supply locations throughout the month.

ValPak coupons will be “mailed to households across San Luis Obispo County” in late June, according to fair organizers.

What are Paso Robles fair ticket prices?

Admission to the California Mid-State Fair costs $15, or $12 for seniors and $10 for youth.

Season passes go on sale Wednesday, July 1, via Ticketmaster. They cost $80, or $40 for children ages 6 to 12.

Kids 5 and younger get in free.

Fair admission includes access to free concerts and live entertainment, as well as livestock exhibitions, agricultural exhibits and shopping areas.

Concerts at the Chumash Grandstand Arena cost extra, with ticket prices varying depending on the artist and seat.

Are there discounts for kids and seniors?

The fair will have special ticket deals on select days, including:

  • Senior Day: Fairgoers ages 62 and up get half-off admission on Friday, July 17.
  • Kids Day: Children 12 and under get free in free on Friday, July 24.
  • Armed Forces Day: People with valid military ID get free admission on Saturday, July 25.

How much do carnival ride wristbands cost?

Helm and Sons Amusements is offering pre-sale Unlimited Ride wristbands for $35 each — or $55 if you want “front of the line access.”

You can get a carnival game pass with $100 worth of game credits for $55.

How can I get discount food and drinks?

In 2026, the California Mid-State Fair is introducing a new “happy hour” with discounted food and beverage specials available daily, according to the release.

You can take advantage of these deals from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday, organizers said.

Helm and Sons Amusement sells a family meal deal for $55 featuring four corn dogs, four fountain drinks, a cotton candy bucket and a large popcorn.
