Cardi B went out in New York City shortly after sharing that she had given birth to her and Stefon Diggs’s first child together, a baby boy. The rapper stepped out on Thursday night for the opening of Cybex’s new SoHo store. She wore the same outfit to the event that she wore in her birth announcement video:
For her first appearance since welcoming her fourth child, the rapper chose a head-to-toe black ensemble featuring a cropped puffer jacket with a corseted waist. She finished the look with a bubble-hem miniskirt, open-toe boots, and a wide, architectural hat featuring an oversize bow in the back.
Inside the event, she helped cut the ribbon for the store opening.
In her Instagram post, Cardi reflected on this new era of her life: “My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons,” she wrote. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
She also teased what’s ahead, noting, “This next chapter is Me vs. Me!…I’ve started prepping for tour getting my body right getting my mind right. There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a lifetime!”
Cardi’s rep revealed the star welcomed her son to People, saying, “Cardi is healthy and happy.” Sources told TMZ that he arrived last week. Neither Cardi nor her team specified her fourth child’s exact birth date or name.
