Cardi B says she’s “confused” after someone online claimed she was selling off her designer handbags.
The rumor began on Tuesday (May 26) when a post, evidently from one of Cardi’s detractors, made a number of claims against her on X.
“NEW: former pole dancer and rapper turned influencer @iamcardib is selling her birkins. This follows after her self-funded tour made no profits and her label went up for sale,” read the post, which also included a screenshot of a Birkin listing that appeared to falsely connect the sale to an account under Cardi’s name.
Another user joked in her defense, “Cardi would literally start driving Uber before she ever sells a Birkin y’all do not know that woman at all lollili.”

Cardi responded directly, “I got all of my 40 Hermes bags who the f**k said I was sellin my s**t ?”
As the claim spread, another user pushed back, writing, “yall want cardi to look broke like yall fav so bad to the point where yall photoshopping now? [crying emoji].” That user shared a screenshot showing the bag’s rightful owner was a different person entirely.

Cardi responded again, asking, “What made them start these random ass lies ? Did something happened? I’m soo confused?”
The claims in the original post were also contradicted by publicly available information.
Did Cardi B really lose money on her Little Miss Drama Tour?
Cardi B’s 2026 Little Miss Drama Tour was not entirely self-funded, as the tour was produced by Live Nation Entertainment.
During a recent X Spaces livestream, Cardi said Live Nation provided her with a $20 million advance for production costs while she claimed to personally have invested several million more into the show, bringing the alleged production budget to $35 million.
According to figures reported by Billboard, the tour grossed more than $70 million and sold 453,000 tickets.
In a separate X livestream, Cardi said her goal is to sell out stadiums with “90,000 people” like Bad Bunny.
Is Cardi B’s record label, Atlantic Records, really being sold?
The post also repeated unsubstantiated rumors suggesting Cardi B’s label, Atlantic Records (which is also home to stars like Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Rosé from BLACKPINK, among others), was struggling financially and could be sold, despite no official sources supporting those claims.
