Catherine, Princess of Wales has stepped out in an Alexander McQueen coat in Wales, while Meghan Markle sported the high-street brand Zara in Jordan today.
The future queen joined Prince William in Powys on Thursday to celebrate community ahead of St David’s Day, where they both accessorised with daffodils for the patriotic occasion.
For her outing, Catherine donned a vintage Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen long burgundy coat, which she previously wore to meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and his wife Sheikha Jawaher in December 2024.
She paired the coat with a £195 sleeveless top and scarf from the designer brand Me + Em, which the princess debuted in January.
Photographs showed Catherine wearing her Christopher Kane Red Pleated Maxi Skirt, which she first wore in 2021.
For footwear, the Princess of Wales chose to wear her Gianvito Rossi Rhymes Boots in Merlot, which are no longer available to buy.
In contrast, the Duchess of Sussex is currently in Jordan, where she has worn at least one item from Zara in every outfit.
Zara, a high-street brand, is relatively affordable compared to the high-end designer brands frequently worn by both royal women.

Catherine chose to wear head-to-toe designer brands during today’s trip to Wales.
The Waleses first travelled to The Hanging Gardens, which is focused on resilience and creativity, in Llanidloes.
They met volunteers who run the centre and participated in some of the workshops and activities on offer, including preparations for St David’s Day on Sunday.
The space provides a hub for sustainable living, artistic expression and shared experiences through a cafe, performing arts centre, indoor market, community garden, kitchens and workshops.

Following the visit, William and Catherine headed to Oriel Davies, a public contemporary art gallery based in Newtown.
They looked at an exhibition of work produced by children and young people before joining a workshop.
The couple then met a Welsh language learners group, who will be practising in the gallery cafe.

After this, they headed to Hafan yr Afon – a hub for culture, community and heritage in Newtown.
It is run by Open Newtown, a community land trust and social enterprise which also manages 100 acres of local parklands.
William and Catherine attended a celebration of volunteer groups and community champions in the county.
