It stole audiences’ hearts.

“Caught Stealing” was No. 1 at the box office on Friday, its opener, raking in $3.2 million, according to The Numbers.

The Post called the film — directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler — “an aimless schlep with delusions of grandeur.”

The crime thriller is slated to take in $9.5 million over the four-day holiday weekend, according to Variety.

Universal’s 50th anniversary re-release of “Jaws” swiftly swam to second, with sales of $3.08 million.

The Spielberg thriller, which debuted in 1975, returned to theaters on Friday and is expected to reel in $9.7 million this four-day weekend.

In third was ‘Weapons,” which was finally dethroned after spending three Fridays at No. 1 since its opening, finished in third with a $2.7 million take.

“The Roses” — a remake of the 1989 Michael Douglas-Kathleen Turner film “The War of the Roses” — took fourth, earning $2.4 million on its opener Friday.

The Post called it “a boring battle” and said its stars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, play characters who are “an unappetizing and cringey pair that would push a person to find any excuse to sprint out of an awkward dinner party.”

“Freakier Friday,” which ran second last Friday, fell to fifth place this time around, earning $1.7 million in revenue.
