Beat the heat with a free day of art, music, and community magic. This Saturday, July 18th, The Center for the Arts throws open its doors for Summer Cooldown, our free family event from 10am to 2pm.
This is the kind of day that turns first-time art experiences into lifelong memories. Watch giant puppets come to life with Toni Tone, catch high-flying moves from our CFTA Aerial Group, and dance along with Dance Natural Creative Complex. Then dive into arts and crafts with Nancy Schaefer, get your face painted by Lucy Galbraith and Sessapaints, twist up a balloon creation with Bernard Bradshaw and Timothy Roberts, and enjoy even more surprises TBA.
Best part? It’s completely free, and every family is welcome.

Offered two times a year, these are free all-day events geared toward families and introduces many young children in our community to their first-ever arts experience. We offer families the opportunity to participate in healthy art-based activities together, such as face painting, crafts, and a balloon artist and other fun entertainment.
