Tamron Hall Reflects on the Layoff That Changed Her Life

Tamron Hall is sharing life advice with her viewers—and it seems to be resonating all over social media.

As the TV host gears up for season 8 of the Tamron Hall Show this fall, she’s opening up about some of the trials and tribulations she’s faced along the way. Tamron started her daytime series after being laid off from the Today show in early 2017, and recently shared part of that story with her followers in several videos uploaded to Instagram.

In one clip, Tamron mentioned that she wanted to use the moment to uplift people who may be struggling, much like she did almost a decade ago.

“The first sign I was healing wasn’t when someone offered me a job,” she wrote in the caption on July 9. “It was when I finally had the confidence to say no. Sometimes believing in yourself begins with knowing what you’re no longer willing to settle for. Tamron ♥️.”

She connected that theme to jobs, relationships, and other big moments.

When fans saw Tamron’s vulnerability, they encouraged her to continue spreading her message of triumph.

“Thank you!! I needed to hear this today!” one person exclaimed in the comments. “🔥🔥🔥 Wow, I really resonate with your story. It’s incredible how God can use people in different situations but still relate to your circumstances. Many blessings to you and thank you for sharing ❤️,” another penned. “Keep posting these; you give such great perspective and advice!!” a different follower added.

And Tamron’s very much aware of everything she’s overcome, as she shared in another Instagram video montage.

“Some photos capture what happened,” she wrote on July 6. “Others capture what no one could see. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t walking away from my life. I was walking toward a life I couldn’t yet imagine ♥️ Tamron.”
