Chamber Music Scotland is delighted to announce the CamGlen Concert Series 2026, a programme of pay-what-you-can concerts featuring acclaimed musicians.
Delivered in partnership with Healthy ‘n’ Happy Community Development Trust, the series will bring chamber music performances to audiences at the Number 18 Venue in Rutherglen’s Farmeloan Road across May, June, August and September.
It will present a diverse programme of classical, jazz and traditional music featuring Fergus McCreadie, Grace Stewart Skinner, Sasha Savaloni and Amy Laurenson Trio.
On May 22, clàrsach player Grace Stewart Skinner will perform music from her debut album Auchies Spikkin’ Auchie, inspired by her home, the Highland fishing village Avoch. Grace intertwines recorded conversation with new traditional compositions.
Internationally-acclaimed guitarist Sasha Savaloni performs a solo programme on June 30, followed on August 13 by award-winning pianist Fergus McCreadie, blending jazz with the spirit of Scottish folk, earning him a Mercury Prize nomination and the Scottish Album of the Year Award.
The series concludes on September 12 with the Amy Laurenson Trio. Recently named BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2023, the Shetland Isles pianist, explores the music of her homeland alongside traditional and folk music from Scotland, Ireland and Scandinavia.
Supported by Creative Scotland, the 2026 programme marks the third round of the project, following two highly successful sold-out series in 2024 and 2025 with past performances from a range of musicians and ensembles including; Colin Currie, Hannah Rarity Trio, Danielle Price and Bill Wells, Robin Michael, Siobhan Miller, Gareth Williams’ Songs From the Last Page, Su-a Lee and Ciorstaidh Beaton.
Designed to bring more diverse communities to chamber music, audience feedback from the concert series have highlighted the positive impact of live music in community settings.
