Charli XCX is married… again! Celebrating her union with The 1975’s George Daniel once more, the singer walked down the aisle in a custom Danielle Frankel gown at a ceremony in Scopello, Sicily.
The spaghetti strap slip, constructed from silk chiffon, was cut on the bias for a flowing, graceful silhouette perfect for the Italian island. Underneath layers of overlapping sheer fabric, a structured corset bodysuit peeked through, adding a bit of contrast and a classic XCX touch to the otherwise simple elegance of the dress. And as she walked, an elongated train embellished with organza petals and pearls floated down to the stone ground, past her silk stiletto heels (also courtesy of Frankel). The harmonious gown went perfectly with Daniel’s gray suit, which he wore with a half buttoned cream shirt and no tie.
The bridal label, helmed by designer Danielle Frankel Hirsch, was founded at the intersection of tradition and modernity, where nostalgic references meet forward-thinking practices. Selected as the first bridal designer to participate in the CFDA Fashion Fund back in 2019, Hirsch has redefined the American bridal landscape—and even produces all her pieces in New York City’s Garment District.
Back in July, the artist wore a Vivienne Westwood minidress to first tie the knot with her husband at a town hall in Hackney, London. With a soft sweetheart neckline, corseted bodice, and basque waist, the piece was at once a classic and contemporary choice, and the bride paired it with a simple veil and white Jimmy Choo heels. For both wedding looks, she accessorized with limited jewelry to let her rings shine.
