Charlie Sheen’s daughter, Sami Shee,n has recounted a moment when her dad could not drive her to an appointment due to him drinking to much
Sami Sheen says she was blindsided by a revelation in her father’s new documentary, Aka Charlie Sheen.
The 21-year-old model and OnlyFans creator took to social media this week after watching the film, revealing that she never knew she was the reason her father got sober. “I didn’t know I was the reason he got sober,” she wrote.
In The Book of Sheen: A Memoir, the 60-year-old actor described the moment in 2017 that pushed him to seek help. He had been drinking early in the day when a phone call from then-13-year-old Sami caught him off guard. “It was December 10, 2017, and by 9 a.m. I was on my third Macallan-spiked coffee,” he wrote.

“My phone rang and when I picked up, it was my daughter Sam asking what time we were leaving.”
Sheen had forgotten about her appointment. “I’ve never mixed the cups with the wheel,” he continued, “so I called Tony T. to come bail me out of a situation he was all too familiar with.”
According to Sheen, Tony arrived within 22 minutes and drove them. Sami sat in the back seat. “She didn’t say much. But I knew exactly what she was thinking,” Sheen wrote.
“Why isn’t Dad driving again? Why isn’t it like it used to be? When will Dad ever return? I missed him too.”
He said that moment forced him to face himself.
“There was only one thing that felt worse than betraying myself, and that was failing my children.”
Sheen shares Sami and daughter Lola, 20, with ex-wife Denise Richards. He also has 16-year-old twins, Max and Bob, with Brooke Mueller, and a 41-year-old daughter, Cassandra, from a prior relationship.
The former Two and a Half Men star said the ride with Sami was a turning point. “In that car, on that day, with my best friend and a child I adore, I saw a guy who was desperate to finally come home for real,” he wrote.
“I knew exactly what had to be done. Life comes down to doers and talkers, and there was really nothing left for me to say; it was time to shut the f*** up and get busy doing.”
Sheen wrote that he had one final lapse the next day, “On December 11, I took two Valium and drank three beers. On December 12, I quit drinking for good.”
“She wasn’t my final straw. She was my first harvest.”
