Doja Cat‘s latest single ‘Jealous Type‘ made an impressive pounce on to the newest edition of the Billboard Hot 100.
Cat saw ‘Type’ typed into the #28 position for its inaugural appearance on the Hot 100. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Sales ≈ 2,500 digital downloads
- Radio Airplay ≈ 14.6 million audience impressions
- Streams ≈ 10.2 million U.S.-based streams
Released on August 21 after ample teasing, the handsome commercial performance mix above not only gave Doja the 18th top 40 hit of her career but also the best opening of any new song on the updated all-genre chart this week.
Produced by Y2K and Jack Antonoff, ‘Type’ comes as the first taste of new music set to line the Rap diva’s new LP ‘Vie‘ which is set to arrive to digital shelves on September 26.
It will mark her first studio album since spinning 2023’s ‘Scarlet‘ to a #4 peak on the Billboard 200.
