Lady Gaga has danced her way right to yet another top 40 smash thanks to her latest single ‘Dead Dance.’
‘Dead Dance’ debuted at #40 on the updated Billboard Hot 100; here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 8.8 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales ≈ 5,000 digital downloads
- Radio airplay ≈ 8.7 million audience impressions
Released September 3, the Andrew Watt and Cirkut-produced electroPop track not only gained prominence from its appearance on the soundtrack to the second season of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday‘ (on which Gaga guest starred), but also a live performance on the MTV VMAs earlier this month.
That exposure helped push ‘Dance’ right to a #40 opening on the refreshed Hot 100, making it the highest-charting new song of the week.
Marking the 29th top 40 hit of her career, the song comes as her 7th visit to the chart region this decade alone.
