No one was feeling the love yesterday quite like Selena Gomez. The Only Murders in the Building star just marked her 34th trip around the sun, which she’s been celebrating with a scenic Italian vacation. And of course, she was joined by none other than her husband, Benny Blanco. To commemorate the singer-actress’ birthday, the record producer shared a romantic dedicated post on his Instagram account.
Blanco began his slideshow with a portrait of Gomez standing by the Arno River in Florence, Italy. In the photo, she wears a baby blue, floral-printed maxi dress from De La Vali, with ruffles running down the plunging V neckline, and she accessorizes with playful hoop earrings from Essentiel Antwerp.
“My beautiful wife… i’ll carry u wherever u wanna go forever,” Blanco wrote in his caption. “Happy birthday my love.”
In the following slide, the music producer is seen carrying Gomez on his back as they walk through a scenic garden. Finally, the last slide sees her napping next to him, all bundled up in a blanket.
Gomez and Blanco first connected back in the 2010s, when they worked on a series of tracks together for the former’s second solo studio album, Revival. Things turned romantic nearly a decade later, and the pair was quick to share the romance with the world on Instagram. They announced their engagement in December 2024, after a year of dating, and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Sea Crest Nursery near Santa Barbara, California, the following September.
On his relationship with Gomez and the way in which she inspires his work, Blanco told Harper’s Bazaar: “You know, Selena makes it very easy to write songs about ’cause she’s the best.”
Now that’s a devoted husband.
