The Philadelphia native indie-rock band formed in 2016. The Ensemble Arts Philly Family Discovery Series presents iLuminate on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Miller Theatre, 250 S. Broad St.. The show is a fusion of cutting-edge technology and dance that appeared on “America’s Got Talent.” Dancers perform to energetic music including pop and rock hits from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s, jazz, Latin, hip-hop and more. The dancers are outfitted with LED suits to create lighting effects with each of the dance moves. The experience blends music, dance, illusion, technology and comedy..
Ravel and ‘Harry Potter’
The Philadelphia Orchestra opens its season tonight at 7 at Marian Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center. Music Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducts, and soloist Yuja Wang will perform the Ravel Piano Concerto in G major. The orchestra also will perform works by Marquez and Wolfe.
Justin Freer conducts the orchestra as it accompanies a screening of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” at Marian Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center. There will be shows Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2. The film features a score by John Williams.
