Hollywood actor Chris Pratt has spoken out with an emotional tribute to political activist Charlie Kirk, after he was shot in Utah.
Kirk, the CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, is currently in critical condition after the shooting at an event at a Utah college.
Actor Chris Pratt took to his X account to share a tribute for Kirk, which comes after many others including US President Donald Trump, as he asked fans ‘to pray for Kirk and his family.’ He posted, “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.”
Pratt isn’t the only person to speak out for Kirk, as President Donald Trump also took to social media to ask Americans to pray for the conservative pundit who has been an ally of his for many years.
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!” Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday afternoon.
FBI Director Kash Patel also issued a statement on X, writing, “We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected. Agents will be on the scene quickly and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation.”
A spokesperson for Turning Point USA confirmed that Kirk is in the hospital. No other victims have been identified.
Kirk was attending an event at Utah Valley University. The university said is a statement to celebrity.land that Kirk was shot from a campus building 200 yards away from where he was speaking.
UVU spokesperson Scott Trotter said, “On September 10, 2025, at 12:20 p.m. a single shot rang out in the quad near the food court on the Utah Valley University Orem Campus as Mr. Charlie Kirk began speaking at his planned rally. We can confirm that Mr. Kirk was shot, but we don’t know his condition. The suspect is not in custody. Police are still investigating Campus is closed for the rest of the day.”
