Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers and more Kentucky artists nominated for 2026 Grammy Awards

Nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been unveiled, and plenty of Kentucky and Southern Indiana artists made the list.

Dupont Manual graduate and Tony Award winner Nicole Scherzinger, is among the group of star-studded nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards. Other local nominees include Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Bryson Tiller, Jason Carter and Michael Cleveland.

Here are the categories in which Kentucky and Southern Indiana artists are nominated. Local nominations are highlighted in each category.

How many entries were submitted for Grammy consideration?

For the 2026 Grammy Awards, more than 23,000 eligible entries were submitted for Grammy consideration, according to the Recording Academy. Nearly 15,000 Recording Academy voting members which include artists, songwriters, producers and engineers who are active in the music industry are eligible to vote.

To be considered for the 2026 Grammys, all submissions must have been released between Aug. 31, 2024, and Aug. 30, 2025. For a complete list of the nominees visit grammy.com.

When will the 2026 Grammy Awards be announced?

Winners will be announced during a live ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, held at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena. The annual awards show will be broadcast on CBS Network and streamed on Paramount +.
