Christian Bale says he will never revisit THIS genre
Christian Bale has revealed there is one film genre he has no plans to revisit.
The 52-year-old actor addressed the topic after a journalist compared a scene from his upcoming film The Bride! to his musical performance in Newsies.
“I would never have thought anybody would relate Newsies to The Bride! that’s hysterical.” he told Buzzfeed.
The actor said the genre he will “never” revisit is musicals, referring to his early role in the 1992 film.
“I don’t think I’ll ever step foot in a musical again in my life. Of course, never say never, but almost never say never on this one.” he said.
The Dark Knight star plays Frankenstein’s monster in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s new take on the Bride of Frankenstein.
Speaking of the project he said “This is something where it’s just a ridiculously energetic expression, with possession.”
The movie stars Jessie Buckley as Mary Shelley and Jake Gyllenhaal as Ronnie Reed.
It was released on March 6, 2026.
