The single comes before an October album release date
Irish singer-songwritter Christian Cohle has released the music video for his latest single, ‘Living with Lucy’.
The single was released in May alongside the announcement of his third album, Queen of Ashes, which is scheduled for release on October 16.
An album launch show is set to take place at Whelan’s in Dublin on November 13.
The song features Alex Reeves, the drummer of Elbow, along with bass player Ben Janning.
According to Cohle, the song examines ideas of intimacy, memory and the passage of time. Its lyrics centre on questions about relationships and change, including the lines “Will it still be you / When this year is through?” and “Will I still hold on / When this decade’s gone?”
Cohle’s music incorporates elements of electronic and art-rock styles and says he draws inspiration from artists like LCD Soundsystem and David Bowie. For ‘Living with Lucy’, he has cited artists including Future Islands and Outkast as influences on the song.
The video was directed by multi-award winning film director Tristan Heanue with Michael Heffernan credited as the recording and mixing engineer.
