Christina Applegate says her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) pain hovers at an eight out of 10—but drops to a one when she tunes into Bravo for a little reality TV escape.
A known Bravoholic, Applegate told Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts that having MS “Still sucks, Robin. It really does,” and “I have so many friends who have MS. And we talk to each other constantly. And I don’t have one that says, ‘I’m great.'” Applegate added, “There is no great. There’s a better day and a less s—- day. This is a lifelong disease with no cure. Period.”
One aspect that gives her some levity is watching shows on Bravo. “But Bravo makes me at a one,” she said as Roberts laughed. “Put on freaking Bravo, and I’m like, thank you, Andy Cohen, you have changed my life.”
Applegate has been very vocal with her Bravo opinions, with many Bravolebrities leaning into her tweets and comments. Most recently, she took a stand on how the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City behaved on their Below Deck Down Under superyacht vacation. “The treatment of the crew and my pals by the women was super gross,” she posted on X, adding, “I hope they apologized to Jason [Chambers] and Daisy [Kelliher]. Wow.”
Of course, later, she reconsidered her post, writing on X: “To the SLC ladies I want to apologize. I was just watching and I was a bit shocked. But I realize you’re shooting a show too. And you’re my favorite franchise! Much love.”
Knowing she was a fan, Captain Lee Rosbach from Below Deck made a video appearance when Applegate was a guest on Live With Kelly and Mark in 2022, telling the Married with Children star: “I want to encourage you to stay strong and remember that a good sailor never learned a damn thing in calm seas,” he said. “So I know you’re going to navigate these waters just fine.” He also extended an invitation to Applegate to sail with the Below Deck crew, adding, “If you’d like to DM me sometime and just chat, I’m here. Take care, kiddo.”
Applegate has since hosted a few Bravolebs on her podcast MeSsy, including Cohen. She posted on X: “Um this happened!!! Our dream come true! We love you @Andy !!!!!!!!!!!”
