For the last two years, thousands of people have enjoyed this award-winning, free festival of music, dance, aerial performance in Shannon. Now in its fifth year, the Clare Mela returns to Ennis, where it all began, with an exciting and diverse lineup.
This year’s festival features Nepalese and African musicians, Indian dancers, Limerick rapper Willzee, circus performers, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance and Indian Dancing with ArtsEtka from Belfast.
Families can look forward to a free, fun day outdoors culminating in a disco to wrap up the activities.
Organised by the Arts Office of Clare County Council and glór, this year’s event will showcase Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Company blending street dance, hip hop, and aerial theatre with a twist – a truly unmissable experience.
Clare County Council Arts Officer, Siobhán Mulcahy said,
“Rain or shine, the Clare Mela promises to bring a smile to everyone’s face. From the awe-inspiring aerial acrobatics by Fidget Feet to the African beats and the Indian dances, Clare Mela is a family friendly event that will enthral and entertain everyone.”
There will be limited vehicular access to the car park and both glór and the DeValera Library will be closed on the day.
