What happened in last week’s episode of Murder Before Evensong?

When Stella (Tamzin Outhwaite) witnesses Champton gamekeeper Edgy (Francis Magee) near Anthony’s murder site, Audrey (Amanda Redman) urges Clement (Matthew Lewis) to question the man. Believing Ned (Ben Batt) killed Anthony (Adam Smethurst) out of jealousy, Jane (Nina Toussaint-White) reports him to the police. Meanwhile, a body is left floating in the lake.

In this week’s episode of Murder Before Evensong, Clement believes that Anthony and Ned’s murders are connected to wartime secrets, but DS Vanloo (Amit Shah) disagrees. As Vanloo investigates Ned’s wife, Jane (Nina Toussaint-White), Clement angers Bernard (Adam James) and the bishop (Ken Bones) with his behavior, which worries Audrey.
