ANDOVER, MA — One of Andover’s longest-running community traditions returns next weekend as Andona hosts its annual Clown Town festival from May 15–17 in downtown Andover.
The three-day event will take place at the park at Bartlet and Chestnut streets and will feature carnival rides, games, food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
Clown Town, which celebrates its 70th year in 2026, is the signature fundraiser for Andona, a nonprofit organization founded in 1952 that raises money to support youth programs, scholarships, and community initiatives in Andover.
The festival begins Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with carnival rides, food, and games alongside live music from the Andover High School Jazz Band and a DJ set later in the evening. A beer garden hosted by Oak & Iron Brewing Company is also scheduled.
Saturday’s schedule runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and includes a full day of rides, games, and entertainment, along with performances and demonstrations from local groups. Organizers say activities will include music, robotics demonstrations, and performances by student groups, as well as family-oriented attractions like pony rides and yard games.
Sunday’s hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include a sensory-friendly hour in the morning designed to provide a quieter, more accessible experience for families. The final day will also feature a family magic show and balloon twisting, along with the full slate of carnival rides and games.
Carnival rides are operated by Fiesta Shows, with unlimited ride wristbands available for purchase for individual days.
Clown Town is widely considered one of Andover’s most popular annual events, drawing thousands of residents each year to downtown for a weekend of community gathering and fundraising.
