Instead of delivering a double dose of country at Nationwide Arena, Cody Johnson will be taking a double dose of medicine.
Despite his best efforts, the 38-year-old singer couldn’t shake what he initially thought was a mild cold, forcing him to cancel his Columbus shows scheduled for Sept. 19 and Sept. 20.
Johnson announced the cancellations on his website and Instagram, apologizing to fans for “the disappointment and inconvenience”:
Johnson is known for the hits “Til You Can’t,” “The Painter” and “I’m Gonna Love You,” a duet with Carrie Underwood. His latest single, “The Fall,” was released in April.

If you’ve already purchased tickets for one of Johnson’s shows at Nationwide Arena, hang on to them — they will be valid at the rescheduled dates, a venue spokesperson said.
