(DENVER) — Country artist Colt Ford is set to take the stage at Denver’s iconic Grizzly Rose this Friday, Sept. 19 — but this show marks more than just a return to performing. It’s a milestone in a journey of strength, survival, and second chances.
He dropped by via Zoom on FOX21’s lifestyle show, Loving Living Local, to share his story and what fans can expect next.
Just over a year ago, Ford survived a near-fatal heart attack, a life-changing experience that shifted his perspective both personally and professionally. Now, back in the studio and on tour, he’s more focused than ever on making music that matters.
In February, he released his first post-recovery single, Hell Out of It, a collaboration with Michael Ray, followed by several new projects, including his latest track, Can’t Hide Country, with Tyler Booth.
While Friday’s performance is sure to bring Ford’s signature high-energy style, it also reflects deeper feelings of gratitude, personal growth, and a refreshed connection with fans.
“It’s been a heck of a thing, but the good Lord has seen me through it and I’m still out here rocking it for the people,” Ford said. “That’s what it’s all about — the fans. I wouldn’t have came back if they hadn’t kept sending me messages and stuff. It’s been really humbling to see them standing there crying at the end of a show with you — it’s pretty cool.”
