JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Tickets go on sale next week for the 35th annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in Jamestown.
This year’s festival is set to feature headliner Jerry Seinfeld, Thursday, Aug. 6, which also coinsides with Lucy’s birthday.
Other performers include Bert Kreischer on Aug. 8 and Seth Meyers on Aug. 9, all at the Northwest Arena.
There are also a number of other events, including the popular Stand-Up Showcase.
Pre-sale tickets for members of the National Comedy Center go on sale Monday, Aug. 27, at noon, and then to the general public Friday, May 1, at noon as well.
Organizers say the event has evolved into a festival that celebrity artists really want to do.
“Now more and more, artists have heard good things from fellow artists and peers who have been and absolutely love the experience. It is this destination that makes Lucille Ball’s vision for her hometown as a destination to celebrate this art form. It makes it unique. And when you’re an artist that tours and does date, after date, after date, it’s nice to do something that has a little bit greater meaning,” said Journey Gunderson, executive director of the National Comedy Center.
The National Comedy Center was just named the Best Pop Culture Museum in the country by USA Today.
The festival runs from Aug. 6 to 9.
