(WBRE/WYOU) Lorena Beniquez will join Jayne Ann Bugda on the latest edition of Community Newsmakers Podcast on the 2822Now APP. Beniquez is an author, videographer, and filmmaker. She is also a former news reporter for 2822 News, who spent many years covering the Williamsport Area.
Lorena is also the founder of the Lycoming County Film Office, and she co-founded the Wilkes-Barre Film Office with businessman Thom Greco. She spent the early days of her career as a publicist in Los Angeles, working with some of the biggest names in the business.
She returned home to work at WBRE/WYOU as a reporter. During that time, she founded the film offices and continues to work with local filmmakers, inspiring and encouraging films in our area. She is involved with the Susquehanna Film Festival and Riverfest Film Festival.
She is also a businesswoman in the Williamsport Area.
The show will air on Sunday, November 2, at 6:30 am.
