Music artist, Morgan Wade, perhaps best known for her vulnerable lyrics and unique blend of country, rock, and Americana, is taking a break from the world of music to focus on personal projects — and “rest” — and work on other things.
Wade made the announcement regarding the hiatus in early November.
However, she noted emphatically, that it’s not retirement.
After playing more than 500 shows in the last three and a half years, she announced the hiatus in a Nov. 6 Instagram video, stating that 2026 will look different as she plans to pursue projects outside of music and experience life beyond the road.
Wade will perform her remaining 2025 shows before the break, including December dates in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
“I have been to a lot of places that this small town girl never thought that she would get to go to,” Wade said in the video. “I have done a lot of things. I have met a lot of people. I couldn’t have done any of that without you guys buying tickets and listening to my songs. I’m forever grateful for that.”
The 30-year-old artist came forward to reveal that she has a demanding performance schedule that included releasing a deluxe album in 2025, opening for Alanis Morissette’s 2024 Triple Moon Tour, and completing a Canadian acoustic run, Parade noted, as reported in a story on cleveland.com
“I’m going to be taking some time off from touring,” she said, the story went on to explain. “There are a lot of things that I’m working on outside of the music world. There are a lot of things that I haven’t had time to do, and I’m going to go do that and take a bit of a vacation and experience some life.”
The story added that fans were understanding and supportive. A commenter wrote, “Glad you’re taking time for yourself to reflect and reset.”
