COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — County music artist Cody Johnson is canceling his two Columbus concerts this weekend and rescheduling them.
The 38-year-old singer announced on social media Thursday that he’s postponing his Nationwide Arena shows scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Johnson said he made the decision after waking up on Thursday with a severe cough, burning chest and throat, leaving him without a singing voice.

“I’m so sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience. I love all of you, and I’m very appreciative of your understanding and loyalty,” the post said. “I hate letting you guys down, but the last thing I want is for y’all to spend your money and time on a show that I don’t think is ‘me at my best,’”
The new dates are July 17 and July 18. Tickets for the September dates will be valid at the new dates.
