For years, fans and followers have speculated about the relationship between country music superstar Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo. Questions have swirled online: Are they in an open relationship? Are they swingers? And does Bunnie really bring fans backstage?
Bunnie Xo, known for her outspoken presence on social media and her hit podcast “Dumb Blonde,” isn’t one to shy away from controversy. But recently, she took things a step further to shut the gossip down once and for all.
In a new video posted on Instagram, Bunnie sat down and strapped in for a lie detector test, aiming to answer some of the internet’s most invasive questions truthfully — and publicly.
Among the first questions asked were the most persistent: “Are you in an open relationship?,” “Are you and Jelly swingers?” and “Do you force fans to come backstage with Jelly Roll?”
Her responses? A firm “No” to all three.
Bunnie has been candid over the years about her past in the adult entertainment industry, often opening up about it on her podcast.
During the lie detector session, she also responded to questions about whether she currently has any sugar daddies (she said “No”) and even addressed an extremely personal rumor — whether she shaved off part of her genitals. That answer was a surprising “Yes.”
The lie detector video follows months of renewed speculation, sparked by resurfaced podcast clips taken out of context. Earlier this year, Bunnie addressed the drama head-on in an episode of “Dumb Blonde.”
“You guys are clipping clips from like six years ago,” she told listeners. “One of them, finally, there was a clip that went around that said if I want to sleep with other men, I can. And people have just ran with this clip for years, and I know that I have addressed me and my husband’s situation. I don’t understand what part of we are not in an open relationship that people cannot comprehend.”
She continued, clarifying the difference between freedom and being in an open marriage. “The only thing that we don’t do, though, is try to control the other person,” she continued.
“If I want to go sleep with another man, he’s not going to be like, ‘No, you’re mine.’ You can’t do that to people. Same goes for like if there was another woman, but this is all in the past. We have completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world.”
Looking back, Bunnie admitted their romance looked very different in the early years. “Back in the day, that was how we looked at our relationship,” she said. “We don’t want to tell each other what we can and can’t do,” she said. “We have free will. That is a huge difference from having an open relationship.”
And in case you’re wondering whether she passed the test? According to the polygraph examiner, she did. “It is in my professional opinion that Bunnie has been truthful concerning the issues that we discussed today,” he says at the end of the video.
