CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – The annual Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest returns to the city’s downtown Sept. 19-21.
It’s the 45th year for the festival, which features free admission and entertainment, German and American food and local brews. Festival hours are Friday from 5-11 p.m., Saturday from noon-11 p.m. and Sunday from noon-8 p.m.
Musical and dance performances will be held throughout the festival at the Biergarten Stage (the amphitheater near Broad Boulevard) and the German Central Stage (near Portage Trail). Attendees can also enjoy strolling accordion performances and view live soapmaking demonstrations from Hope Soap Ohio. The local soap company will be making Oktoberfest Ale soaps, according to the event website.

HiHO Brewing Co., Missing Mountain Brewery, McArthur’s Brew House, Lock 15 Brewing Co., Schmitt Sohne Wines and Ignite Brewing Co. will offer beers and drinks.
More than 30 craft, retail and commercial vendors will also be at the event, according to the event website.
Since the festival’s inception, more than $1 million has been raised for local causes, according to the event website. Festival proceeds will go toward college scholarships for 6-8 students from Cuyahoga Falls High School and Woodridge High School. Funds will also support community members battling cancer via the Falls Cancer Club.
