The pair became the fifth couple to leave the competition following two weeks of combined audience votes totaling more than 100 million.
Scott said after the results, “It’s meant everything. I’m so incredibly grateful for this.” Rylee added, “You did amazing this season. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and I love you.” Earlier in the show, they revealed personal news that Scott and his husband, Mark Hoying, are expecting their first child via surrogate.
Whitney Leavitt and her pro partner Mark Ballas led the leaderboard, earning 39 points and receiving the season’s first 10s for their performance inspired by “Popular.” Derek Hough commented, “We are discovering a star before our eyes,” while Bruno Tonioli called the routine “insanely good.”
Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa tied for the top score with a rumba to “For Good,” earning praise from Carrie Ann Inaba, who called it “perfection.” Robert Irwin and Witney Carson followed with 36 points for their jazz routine and strong judge feedback.
Andy Richter and Emma Slater scored 27 points, their season best, and stayed in the competition thanks to fan votes.
