‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 34 cast announced. Here’s which competitor is from MA

“Dancing with the Stars” has officially announced the cast for the upcoming season, and one of the competing celebrities is from Massachusetts.

With the Season 34 premiere under two weeks away, the ABC dance competition show announced the full cast on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, Sept. 3, with competing celebrities including influencers, reality stars, athletes and more.

Last season, “Dancing with the Stars” had three competitors representing New England, all of whom made it to the finale: Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik of Worcester, Olympic rugby medalist Ilona Maher of Burlington and former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola.

New England will once again be represented on the show this year by one Massachusetts-born celebrity, with many fans already speculating she will advance far in the competition. Here’s who she is, as well as the full cast list for Season 34 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 34 cast member from MA

This season, Hilaria Baldwin will represent Massachusetts on “Dancing with the Stars.” Married to Hollywood legend Alec Baldwin, the entrepreneur, podcaster and author was born in Boston. Though she spent a lot of time in Spain during her childhood, Baldwin was raised in Beacon Hill, attending The Cambridge School of Weston for high school.

Many “Dancing with the Stars” fans think Baldwin’s active lifestyle will help her in the competition, as the star is a former yoga instructor who co-founded yoga studio chain Yoga Vida. While she doesn’t teach yoga much anymore, Baldwin often posts exercise content across her social media.

Additionally, Baldwin has an extensive background in ballroom dancing, first trying the sport as a child and eventually competing with New York University’s ballroom team. However, Baldwin stopped dancing 16 years ago after breaking her hip, which may pose a challenge in the competition.

• “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt and pro Mark Ballas

• “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck and pro Jan Ravnik

• Pentatonix member Scott Hoying and pro Rylee Arnold

• “Boy Meets World” star Danielle Fishel and pro Pasha Pashkov

• Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui and pro Brandon Armstrong

• “The Traitors” star Dylan Efron and pro Daniella Karagach

• Former NBA player Baron Davis and pro Britt Stewart

• “The Parent Trap” actress Elaine Hendrix and pro Alan Bersten

• Comedian Andy Richter and pro Emma Slater

• Actor Corey Feldman and pro Jenna Johnson

The group of professional dancers has remained mostly the same from last season, except for the return of Mark Ballas, as well as the addition of Jan Ravnik in place of Sasha Farber. Ravnik is most well known for his work as a background dancer on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will be returning this season, as well as co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough.

Want to see how well the Boston-born Baldwin performs? Season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. New episodes will release every Tuesday night, with streaming available on Hulu the next day.
