Danica Patrick has found a way to beat the Arizona heat.
The former race car driver is moving to the mountains of Colorado after spending five years searching for the perfect “mountain escape.”
“I was patient and found a little slice of heaven,” Patrick, 43, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, August 20, alongside a carousel of pics from her new home. “And I am never patient 😆.”
“On top of great weather and beautiful mountains and wild animals,” she continued, “I can play all my fav new sports!”
Patrick added skiing, golf and tennis emojis to her post, as the accompanying photos showed her on the golf course. Photos also featured her dogs, Belgian Malinois Ella and Siberian Husky Dallas, exploring their new home, which seemed to include a hike through the mountains.
Fans and fellow celebrities took to the comments to congratulate Patrick, including Savannah Chrisley, who wrote, “I’m so proud of you ❤️❤️ missing you!!!!”

Patrick retired from racing in 2018 as arguably the most successful woman in the history of the sport. Her move comes two months after she revealed to fans that she is “single right now” in an appearance on the “Believe in the Good” podcast.
Also in 2018, she began dating NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the two were together until 2020, purchasing a beachfront home in Malibu during their relationship.

She opened up about her breakup from Rodgers, 41, in an interview on “The Sage Steele Show” in May, saying their relationship “wore [her] down to nothing,” but that she learned a lot about herself along the way.
“It gave me the greatest gift, the greatest gift, which was myself,” she said. “You know it gave me the greatest gift of how much I needed to show up for myself and take care of myself.”
She continued, “I would say, ‘I’m built for hard things. I can handle hard things,’ and so, I just saw it as a hard thing. My nature is to try harder and to do more, and I was like, ‘What if I don’t do it for the right person? What if I just get a stick up my ass about this and get too proud?’”
When her relationship with Rodgers ended, Patrick began dating Carter Comstock. They were together from April 2021 to March 2022.
“We were together for a while, and unfortunately it didn’t work, but it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a really fun time and we didn’t do a lot of really amazing things,” Patrick told People at the time of their breakup. “It doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with either of us. It’s just a matter of finding someone who you can stand the test of time with.”
