Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour are reuniting for a new Netflix show.
The Stranger Things alums are set to star as estranged father-daughter spies.
The news comes in the wake of reports that Brown filed a “harassment and bullying claim” against Harbour before filming the final season of Stranger Things.
Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour aren’t waiting long to team back up.
Just a few months after wrapping the hit sci-fi show Stranger Things, the two are set to headline a new Netflix mystery series.
On Stranger Things, Harbour played police chief Jim Hopper, the surrogate father to Brown’s telekinetic teen Eleven, and the new drama from A24 and Netflix finds them as estranged father-daughter spies.
Hailing from Brown’s Enola Holmes writer Jack Thorne, who also co-created the Emmy-winning phenomenon Adolescence, the untitled thriller stars Harbour as disgraced FBI agent Matt Wolfe. Now working as a security expert, Wolfe is drawn back into the old world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown), now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps, vanishes on a mission.

“We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before,” Netflix’s head of scripted series in the U.S. and Canada, Jinny Howe, said in a statement. “Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. “
Earlier this week, Brown teased the impending reunion on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “It’s David’s idea, so kudos to him,” she hinted of the project, on which they’ll both serve as producers. “Father-daughter is where we live, but Netflix will always be our home.”
The latest Brown and Harbour collaboration further solidifies that the actors have moved past the unverified report that Brown filed a “harassment and bullying claim” against Harbour ahead of the final season production of Stranger Things. The Daily Mail reported that Harbour faced an internal inquiry and an investigation that “went on for months,” and as a result, Brown had a personal representative with her on set.
Earlier this month, Harbour broke his silence on the rumors, confirming that there was some tension, vaguely alluding to a “disagreement” between him and Brown, while insisting that all is well between the longtime costars.
“I don’t know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years — you occasionally get in arguments, disagreements,” he said. “The problem with a billion-dollar show is that there’s just hundreds of people who want to get involved. It was just a simple rupture-and-repair thing that, once we cleared everybody out of the way and talked to each other, we’re fine. Everyone nowadays is very scared of talking about things. People are very scared of being human. It’s unfortunate, because I don’t know how to navigate this weird media world. But it was completely normal, and we adore each other and always have.”
Brown added that “David was there through all of” the change she underwent during the run of Stranger Things.
“Over time, our relationship became much more collaborative creatively. When you work with someone for that many years, we could really push each other emotionally in scenes,” she told Variety via email. “Even though the series has ended, there’s still a lot of gratitude. Getting to share that experience with him for so many years is something I’ll always remember and value.”
