(WIVT/WBGH) – The long, strange trip is continuing for local Deadheads this weekend.
Dead and Friends will be performing the iconic hits of the Grateful Dead at Crooked Mouth Brewing in Endicott on Saturday.
Dead and Friends is an Upstate New York-based tribute band.
Originally formed on the West Coast by singer and guitarist Jordan del Rosario, the band recently moved back to Central New York and has found great success.
In addition to performing the legendary discography of the Dead, they also pull from other influences such as the Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, The Band, and Phish.
del Rosario says the band adds a modern twist to the songs that is quite unique.
“We play the hits but we also do some deep cuts. So, if they want to just kind of vibe and jam and space out in some of those sections, we have that too. And it’s always a high energy time, people are dancing, people are having a good time. It’s just good people and good fun,” said del Rosario.
del Rosario says Dead and Friends brings a high energy that is loved by jam band fans.
Dead and Friends will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The event is free to attend. All ages are welcome.
Crooked Mouth Brewing is located at 231 Vestal Avenue in Endicott.
