Today, August 9, 2025, marks the 30th anniversary of Garcia’s death, and the Re/Evolution: Summerjam 2025festival will host a radiant “JerryGarcia Celebrationof Life” under a glowing full moon in Darrington Music Park in Washington.
This heartfelt gathering weaves music, community, and cosmic connection to honor the Grateful Dead’s legendary frontman.

The festival, running August 6–10, tribute and celebration day begins with Wendy Weir, sister of Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and author of “In the Spirit: Conversations with the Spirit of Jerry Garcia,”leading a live channeling session in the afternoon.

As night falls, the main stage will light up with Melvin Seals and his band JGB, joined by John Kadlecik on lead guitar and vocals.
Seals, a longtime member of the Jerry Garcia Band, is expected to lead the group with classics like “They Love Each Other” and “My Sisters and Brothers,” blending soulful gospel rhythms with the psychedelic spirit Garcia helped define.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Darrington Music Park, with its towering pines, the @reevolution_festival will be a living tribute to Jerry Garcia’s enduring legacy. Fans will share stories, hugs, and perhaps a few tie-dyed tears, united by the community he inspired.
