Renee Maskin plays at 7:30 p.m. before an 8 p.m. screening at the ShowRoom. Local musicians will play before the 10 showings of “Deliver Me from Nowhere” at the ShowRoom over the film’s opening weekend. The Thursday performers were announced on Monday, Oct. 20.
“ ‘Nebraska’ is my favorite Bruce record,” said Maskin Monday on social media. “I remember someone calling it ‘the gateway drug’ of his catalogue, and I think that nails it. It’s haunting and it’s beautiful, and it’s dark and it’s cool.”
