Margo Martin could move over to Fox News after Donald Trump’s presidency ends, an expert has claimed.
Martin, 30, who Donald Trump once called “the most beautiful photographer in the world,” currently works as the special assistant to the president and communications advisor at the White House. She also worked as Trump’s press secretary after his first presidency, while he was a civilian.
Following her increased publicity, there has been speculation over where Martin’s career is heading, with one expert believing she could soon be on our screens.
David Johnson, CEO at Strategic Vision PR Group, thinks that Martin could take a similar path to Kayleigh McEnany and Dana Perino, former White House Press Secretaries who are now at Fox News.
“While Margo Martin has been in the news since the China trip and generated a lot of coverage about herself, it is hard to see her making the jump from her role to running for office,” he said exclusively to The Express US. “She has been more of a communications person throughout her time with Trump, dating back to 2019, during his first term, his PAC, and now back at the White House.”
He then noted that he wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to take Karoline Leavitt’s job, as he went on, “More than anything I see her as trying to position herself for White House Press Secretary if Leavitt leaves for some reason,” before adding, “Beyond that she is auditioning it seems for a post White House career with one of the networks most likely FOX or Newsmax.”
Thomas Mustac, Senior Publicist at Otter Public Relations, also addressed Martin’s potential future career, as he explained that the 30-year-old’s success will “not depend on one particular moment.”
“Margo’s subsequent steps will largely depend on how carefully she navigates her increased visibility in the public eye,” he told us. “A high-profile international visit generally means more visibility and usually alters the course of a senior advisor’s career path, given the setting and significance of a visit.
“For Margo Martin, the great challenge will be to strike the right balance between proximity to the leader and maintaining some communications identity of her that will leave a lasting image.”
