The Downtown Rising music festival will return this month for its sixth year in Parc International in Lafayette.
On Sunday, Sept. 28, the outdoor venue will host local reggae band The Wailers, zydeco legend Keith Frank and Lafayette entertainer DJ Digital, among other acts and vendors at the one-day event.
The gates to Parc International will open at 11 a.m. on Sept. 28, and Downtown Rising tickets are $26 on the Social Entertainment website — a Lafayette entertainment and hosting company that founded Downtown Rising in 2019 to help promote downtown Lafayette.
In addition to the headliners, performers Gerald Gruenig & Gentilly Zydeco, Que Beleza, Homegrown Reggae, DJ RV, Skye Isaac and Low Dial are also playing the event this year; with food trucks, all-ages activities, a mobile beer bus, photobooth and other vendors rounding out the music festival atmosphere.
