Fans of comedian Drew Carey will remember him best for his starring role in the self-titled The Drew Carey Show on ABC and his hosting gig on The Price is Right.
Throughout his career, he’s made several acting appearances, one of which was on the iconic NCIS.
Here’s everything you need to know about Carey’s cameo on the CBS police procedural.
Over the years, NCIS has welcomed a host of famous faces, from Colin Hanks and Michelle Obama to Millie Bobby Brown and Zac Efron.
Some of these younger stars were relatively unknown when they guest-starred on the show, having filmed their episodes before achieving major fame.
Despite his Hollywood career, his role as a retired Marine wasn’t entirely unfamiliar to Carey.
In fact, he served in the Marine Reserves for six years, a fact some of his fans may not be aware of.
After the episode aired, Carey couldn’t resist sharing his behind-the-scenes experience.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Carey said, “Working on NCIS was a terrific experience for me.
“The entire cast and crew were so welcoming and professional.
“You can’t believe how hard they work to do that show.”
The following year, Carey went on to appear in ABC’s American Housewife as Mr Green, a character.
But over the past few years, he has stepped back from acting and focused instead on hosting The Price is Right.
