Drew Sidora is turning one of the most difficult chapters of her life into music. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has released a new single, “How Does It Feel,” a deeply personal track inspired by heartbreak, healing, and her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Ralph Pittman.
Speaking with Hot 97’s Nessa, Sidora described the record as the most vulnerable song she has released to date. “This song is probably the most personal song for me,” she said, explaining that the track became an emotional outlet while navigating years of legal battles and public scrutiny. “I’ve been going through so much. To have this outlet is very productive. It’s my therapy.”
The song’s imagery reflects that emotional journey. Sidora explained that the cover art features her in a wedding gown holding flowers and a glass of wine, with blood symbolizing the end of a marriage. “The marriage died and it was war,” she said. “But I’m sipping my wine through it.”
She added that the project is rooted in both grief and resilience, emphasizing that she still believes in love and hopes to marry again one day.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have watched much of that struggle play out on screen. Sidora’s split from Pittman has been one of the show’s most-discussed storylines, with court proceedings spanning three years.
The divorce has generated a steady stream of headlines, including recent disputes over custody arrangements and the estranged couple’s shared home. Throughout the process, Sidora says music became a way to process emotions she couldn’t always express elsewhere.
One lyric in particular struck a nerve while recording. “When I say, ‘How does it feel to see yourself losing me,’ that’s when it was over,” Sidora said.
She described the line as representing the moment someone stops hoping for reconciliation and chooses to move forward. Although she stopped short of naming Pittman directly, she acknowledged that the song reflects her lived experience with heartbreak and loss.
The new music arrives as Sidora continues balancing court proceedings, motherhood, and a growing music career. During the interview, she admitted that the divorce has reshaped her outlook on relationships and finances. “You must remain financially independent,” she said, reflecting on lessons learned during the breakup.
Despite the challenges, Sidora says she’s in a better place emotionally than she has been in years. “I feel happy,” she told Nessa. “The happiest I’ve been in three years.”
