Dunwoody strikes out 16 in six shutout innings in Royal’s win

Dustin Dunwoody struck out 16 while allowing four hits and walking two in six shutout innings, Noah Vasquez had a double and two RBIs, and Peyton Visage was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI to lead Royal (9-1, 3-0) to a 6-2 victory over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League game. Daniel Pina went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Pioneers (6-4, 2-1).
Travis Wade was 3 for 3 with a double and a solo home run, Isaac Elizondo went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Ryder Morehouse was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Austin Phenix had a double and two RBIs, Grant Tsuji was 2 for 4 with a triple and two runs scored, and Turner Hothan allowed one run in four innings to lead Camarillo (6-6, 1-1) to an 8-3 victory over Oak Park in a Coastal Canyon League game. Aaron Berro went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Matt Leehey had a hit and an RBI, and Max Mosanko and Austin Irvine each had two hits for the Eagles (5-6, 0-2).
Brody Kaylor went 3 for 5 with a triple, a three-run home run and six RBIs, Gabe Alonzo had three hits and two RBIs, Brody Burnett was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Jacob Del Rio had a hit and two RBIs, Rey Jimenez was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Mason Trigo had a hit and an RBI to lead Buena (4-10, 3-3) to a 16-6 victory over Oxnard in a Channel League game. Andrew Cerda, Andre Synegal and AJ Camarena each had a hit and an RBI for the Yellowjackets (2-8, 0-6).
Trevor Woodworth allowed four hits and one earned run while striking out seven in a complete-game effort on the mound and was 1 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate to lead Ventura (3-8, 2-4) to a 3-2 win over San Marcos in a Channel League game.
JJ Carmona had a triple and three RBIs for Pacifica (6-6, 4-2) in its 6-3 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.
Rio Mesa (5-8, 3-3) lost to Santa Barbara 4-3 in a Channel League game.
Steven Hernandez went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, Cristian Solis was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs, Allan Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with a double and a solo homer, Akira Tamura went 3 for 3 with two runs scored, Adam Hernandez had a double and an RBI, and Joseph Pena had a hit and an RBI to lead Hueneme (5-7, 3-1) to a 9-5 win over Santa Paula in a Citrus Coast League game. Isaiah Flores had a double and two RBIs, David Delgado and Steven Sanchez each had a hit and an RBI, and Jesse Chavez went 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored for the Cardinals (5-6, 3-1).
Jaxson Middough hit a solo home run, Jacob De Alba was 2 for 5 with an RBI, Scotty Luttenberger had a hit and an RBI and pitched two scoreless innings, and Kevin Mendoza went 2 for 3 with three runs scored to led Nordhoff (5-6, 2-2) to an 8-6 win over Channel Islands in a Citrus Coast League game. Johan Reyes went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Jared Jaimes had two doubles and two RBIs, JJ Jasso was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Ivan Contreras struck out 10 in 5.1 innings to lead Fillmore (1-11, 1-3) to an 8-6 victory over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.
Joseph Martinez went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Wyatt Richardson was 2 for 5 with an RBI, Luke Henderson had a double and an RBI, Lukas Devericks had two RBIs, and Thomas Apodaca had a hit and an RBI to lead St. Bonaventure (8-3, 2-0) to a 12-4 win over Grace in a Tri-Valley League game. Gavin Willis had a hit and two RBIs for the Lancers (7-5, 0-2).
Robert Juker hit a solo home run, Cooper Casey went 2 for 2 with three RBIs, Andy Campa was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs, Cain Ebrahim had a double and an RBI, and Jacory Smith had a hit and an RBI to lead Foothill Tech (6-4, 2-0) to a 12-2 win over Cate in a Frontier League game.

SOFTBALL

Aubreona Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a solo home run and Khloe Flores and Jessie Sebek each hit solo homers for Ventura (5-6, 0-4) in its 6-4 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League game.
Giada Santos had a double and an RBI and Denise Gutierrez had a hit and and RBI for Pacifica (4-7, 0-2) in its 12-2 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Jack Smolarski finished with 24 kills and 25 digs, Wyatt Arnold had 19 kills, Josh Supa had 11 kills and 20 digs, Dash Cowley had 58 assists and 16 digs, and Nico Lee had 17 digs to lead Agoura (8-2, 4-1) to a 25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9 victory over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League match.
Cameron Judd had 10 kills and three aces and Rhys Freeman added seven kills to lead Oaks Christian to a 25-10, 25-22, 25-19 sweep of Calabasas in a Marmonte League match.
Ventura earned a 25-22, 26-24, 25-19 sweep of Foothill Tech in a nonleague match. For the Dragons, Styles Haley-Kettler had 12 kills, Royal Knox finished with 11 assists, six digs and two aces, and Zach Ohl had nine digs and two aces.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cole Bakos finished with six goals and three assists, Yoni Cohen and Vikram Taisey each scored three goals, Davis Macdonald had two goals and an assist, Ben Chen had two goals, Shaylor Schmitt, Rivers White and Preston Rivera each had a goal and an assist, and Jake Newman had an assist to lead Westlake (5-7) to a 19-8 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game.
