Stand-up comedian and actor Gary Owen married Brianna Johnson in Houston on March 7
Owen’s friend and Think Like a Man costar Kevin Hart was unable to attend the wedding due to filming obligations, so he surprised the bride by FaceTiming her before the ceremony with his Jumanji costar, Dwayne Johnson

Kevin Hart couldn’t let Gary Owen’s wedding day go by without congratulating him.
Hart, 46, costarred with Owen, 51, in the 2012 comedy movie Think Like a Man and its 2014 sequel Think Like a Man Too, and initially planned to stand by his side as a groomsman at his wedding to Brianna Johnson on March 7, in Texas, but was unable to attend due to filming obligations. The actor surprised the couple on their special day by FaceTiming in while on set with Jumanji costar Dwayne Johnson, 53.
The newlyweds shared a video of the FaceTime conversation in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, March 19. Brianna wrote in the caption, “Everybody has been asking where Kevin was at… man was deep in the jungle filming Jumanji 🌴 He was sad he had to miss our wedding, but you already know we’re pulling up to the theater the second it drops!! Thank you @kevinhart4real and @therock for taking the time to send love!”
In the clip, Will Packer — who was a groomsman, and produced and made cameos in the Think Like a Man movies — smiled as he held up a phone to Brianna, who was in her bridal suite at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston. The bride told Hart, who was “in the f—ing jungle,” that he was “widely missed” as he congratulated her. She then waved hello to Dwayne, and said “nice to meet you” as he offered well wishes.
“Tell him (Owen) I love him, you talk to me. We sending tons of energy from Jumanji,” Hart said. “But like I said, I got you after, I promise you.”

Brianna also shared the clip on TikTok and wrote in a comment that the actors were “so sweet.” She jokingly commented that she “died” when Dwayne popped into frame and said “Woah!” when he realized he was talking to a bride moments before she walked down the aisle.
During the wedding toasts, Tony Roberson, Russell Peters and Luenell delivered stand-up style sets for the wedding guests and introduced a surprise video message from Hart. Brianna teased in a comment that she plans to post that recorded message soon.

We intentionally steered away from a traditional, overly formal ceremony format, wanting the entire experience to feel lively and celebratory from beginning to end.”
